Delivery on Saturday 1/14. I had to drive to Oregon for purchase - since the models are not yet available in Washington. Excellent drive back. Excited to learn more about this amazing vehicle.

I had a 2015 Prius - but this is quite an upgrade. I wanted to wait for the Prime, and it was worth it.

I think the four seats are well thought-out. The rear seats are basically as comfortable as the front seats. Honestly, I never had 5 people in my other Prius, so I see the practicality of putting comfort over function. As for the hatch, it is Carbon Fiber Sheet Molded Compound. It reduces the weight of the hatch for easier lifting and better overall weight.

Thanks. It was my choice. Had to hunt for awhile, but found the one I wanted.

i haven't experienced any cargo conditions, so i cannot comment on the raised floor. Although, it doesn't seem to be much of an issue as far as appearance.

One of the best things about coming to this site is enjoying the experiences of others who get their car. Congrats and enjoy the ride.

Oddly enough, the raised floor is only in the back hatch area. I didn't realize this until I had to fold the seats down to take my lawnmower for its off-season servicing. I was worried the mower wouldn't fit with the raised portion, but there was room to spare. The lower section over the seats also helped capture the damn mower so I didn't have to worry as much about it breaking free and taking out the rear window. I block the wheels with bricks and lead weights, but it sometimes worked itself free with my 2012 Prius - no problems with the Prime.

There seems to be a bit more room or shorter rear headrests as I always had to shift the driver's seat forward to fold the left rear seat because the headrest would hit when I tried to fold the back seat. The Prime is adjusted to the same feel for the driver as the 2012, but now I have inches to spare when folding the rear seat.

    I measured this back-floor thing.

The difference to a 2016 with no spare is quite a lot - something like 7-8 inches. However, the difference compared to my 2004 with a spare is only about 3 inches, which isn't very much.

yes, 3" is what was reported at the unveiling. it's not a lot unless you typically carry things that almost touch the gen 3 glass, then, it's a lot.
