    Hi Guys,

I just wanted to say good-bye, and take a minute to thank everyone for their help over the last 1-1/2 years...

I traded my 2010 Prius II in for a 2012 Honda CR-Z Hybrid EX NAV this morning and it was bitter sweet... I just could not take anymore of the endless rattles and creaks that were in the interior of the car...

I know some people had great cars that were very quiet, but my Prius was not one of them - The interior rattles, combined with the rattle under the front that the dealer could never seem to hear was all I could take...

I know I will give up a few MPG's with the Honda, But I really like the car - Looks very sporty... And since it is only my partner and I, and our other car is a 4-dr Benz, I thought "why not"...

Again - Thank you all for your help, and I will still keep reading the forum...

    All The Best,
    Dan

That's tough to hear, but you put up with enough. Enjoy the CR-Z!

Yes that is a sweet looking ride.

I'm a tad bias though as the original "hybrid", the 1984 Honda CRX HF, was my first new car and spoiled my on good mpg's ever since.

Let us know how you get on with the CR-Z, there's a Honda hybrid forum for you right here on PC.

Thank You - I think it is a very good looking car - A little like the original...

I am lost on one thing... You said there was a Honda Hybrid Forum right here in PC, But Where ?

I think I am missing something...

Enjoy your new ride. I hear you (pun intended) regarding the interior noises--I just turn the music up a bit louder. :p

You should have borrowed my Jeep TJ for a bit. After that you can't hear the rattles in the Prius.

Congrats on the new CR-Z! I've yet to test one but it should be a hoot to drive. Keep us posted, eh? Would love to get a different perspective here on PC.

OP - sorry to hear you gave up on your Prius because of the noise issues. I've had more than my share of them too, but gradually solved most of them one by one. Other than that, mine has been mechanically sound with really good MPGs so despite the rattles, I'm keeping it.

I hope your Honda delivers the same great efficiency and has a quite ride. Let us know how your driving experience with it compares to the Prius and if it has a quieter ride.

    Congratulations...and enjoy your new vehicle.

But delicately could I ask a question or two?

The Prius C didn't interest you? So close to release and availablity. And concievably the Prius C has a different dash, so perhaps less rattles?

Maybe NOT as sporty looking as a CR-Z hybrid, BUT HSD vs. IMA?

Seriously, I currently own a Honda Fit...I love Honda's. So I have no problem with Honda. But I'm just wondering if your experience with Prius soured you on considering the Prius C?

Or was it a CR-Z love at first sight inpulse?

I don't know, I don't even yet own a hybrid and I hang around this place way too much bothering the entrenched bretheren.

Personally? I say stick around. Commentary on how you like or dislike your CR-Z would IMO be interesting. Commentary as an Ex-Prius owner, I think valid.

A lot of Prius Chat...is the automotive WORLD- and more...and sometimes a I believe a Non-Prius owners perspective can have a lot of value.

    Don't say goodbye...say Aloha...

I like the new CR-Z look. My Prius seems to have a few more rattles than when it was new, partially cured some of them by running the recommended PSI instead of 40/38 or some high #. The rest I cured with the volume knob.
