must be nice to have all that money to spend on wheels that will make it ride like a conestoga wagon. i get benz's with those giant wheels on em and it just kills the ride. if all you do is tool around town in a district w/ exceptional roads, it might be ok. but if you have potholes or concrete slab commuting, those wheels would suck. and they get damaged easier than normal sized wheels. do you drive it, or "profile"?

I wouldn't say that it'll ride like an old conestoga, but it def won't be a ricer with 'cut' springs bouncing all over the place. Not really looking for a smooth 'cooshie' ride, from my lowered Mini-me EF civic with 17's to my

I've always liked the look and feel of a tighter suspension and wheels that actually fit the wheel well without dumping it to the ground. With the bigger wheel I won't have to lower the car as much to get the look that i'm going for. My daily commute consists of I-5 for ~70-80 miles - not so many rough streets to deal with.

Here some pix of the Cheap Fog-DRL Mod | PriusChat I completed after "Auricchio" helped clarify a few things.

The wires used ... I shrink wrapped the connectors hoping to eliminate any issues..

Yup yup, that would be the lil heat gun laying on the ground and a little plastic putty tool. Super easy to do...

It went really quick. The emblems came off super easy ... i may have got them a lil extra hot... B careful u don't burn/ruin ur pain. U can pick up one of these from your local automotive shops for ~$30 - been pretty handy and I've only given my self 2 scars so far. HA! Burnt the cr@p out of my arm!

One more question, Luscious Garage you posted a video of them taking the lights out of the car...where is that garage in California?

Don't know exactly...but if its the same one that comes up when you 'google' Luscious Garage...its probably

The video has been floating around here on PC for a while...I came upon it actually by just searching YouTube for DIYs for the Prius.

Keep in mind that the typical 215/45/17 upsize will increase the diameter of the tire such that you don't have to dump the car to fill the wheel well yet the sidewall stays a respectable size without looking like a 4x4 nor a rubber band.

This is just a simply Eibach Pro-Kit with 215/45/17 tires. Not much wheel wheel gap and only minor rubbing on sharp curves with bumps. [IMG]

Its an easy to use spray on.. Plasti Dip available at most hardware stores for ~$5

Can be sprayed on and the excess peeled off with out worrying about damaging the factory paint. I didn't take any pictures of the process, but to give you an idea..

I pretty much just taped off the area. Similar to the Lexus emblems below, spay lightly a few coats, let it dry then peel off the overs-pray.

Here is the link to where I borrowed the idea...

Good looking car..Wish the Eibach Pro-Kit was still available...or fit the Touring rear struts...

Although, I would say these G2's with 18" or larger look like too bad either :)

I don't forsee myself ever being able to spend the money for 17" rims and tires, but I sure can dream right!? Maybe someday I'll get a set of touring wheels for my Prius, that'll have to be good enough for me... But if you've got the money to spend, why not!? Go for it! :)
