Knock sound at stops

    As I come to a complete stop braking there is a single or double knock every time in the last 12'. Mechanic, specialist in suspension and braking can repeat sound but not find it's source. Anyone else have this happen and find cause?

    Presumably the specialist person - or you - inspected and double checked the torque on the caliper brackets and slide pins? Perhaps even removing bracket bolts and pins to inspect them? And pulled the drums from the rear to inspect and make sure they're adjusted?

    Yes the sound comes from the front of the car, and front brakes were fully inspected
