Knocking/banging on 2012 Prius

    There was a few days that the temps were in the single digits and I had about an inch of ice covering the car. When I start it there was a terrible loud knocking that continued even after It should of been warmed up. The engine light also came on. Today was a little milder out, and no change. When the engine shuts and it goes into electrical it’s quiet. As soon as I start to drive the knocking is there again. I need to have it looked at, but has anyone else experienced this?

    I did.. Oil was good.

    We had a long period of freezing rain. Took me about 45 min just to remove it

    many have, unfortunately.

    how many miles on her? the egr circuit needs to be cleaned.
