    You certainly know the true meaning of "groceries."

    I took the plunge today and set out to get my new Ultraracing front strut-brace installed this afternoon.

    What a serious disappointment. This UR brace was designed for the 2010 Prius, where evidently the brake fluid reservoir was located somewhere else. The first time I eye-balled this it didn't look like it was going to fit. But I went on faith that the geometry would just work once I cleared all the windshield wipers out of the way.

    Actually the brake reservoir in the 10-11 is in the exact same spot as the 12-current Prii.

    It look like that might me for a RHD Prii

    That is correct (y)

    There is always a risk of buying a JDM part and the part not fitting for LHD :( I went down that path several times!

    Here is the image taken directly from the Ultra Racing website.

    I didn't compare this with my own engine compartment when I ordered it. Well, it is described as fitting the 2010 Prius. So I couldn't exactly take it to court that this item is flawed. Maybe someone else around here has the right engine compartment configuration. I'll let it go for a good price. :)

    ... on further contemplation, it looks like this UR image shows the brake fluid reservoir on the opposite side of the car, tucked in under the wiper tray. This probably IS a photo of a RHD car.

    Update: The UltraRacging vendor has given me a 50% refund on the RHD strut bar with no need to return it.

    I just ordered the Cusco brace. I suppose I can say this was practice for the real deal. I'll have the Cusco bar installed in 30 minutes after the UPS guy drops it off.

    Funny, I've always owned American cars so I've never had to worry about this RHD, LHD thing before. Now I've got to read and then read it again, before I buy anything for the Prius.... And don't get me started on the crappy translations some of these web sites have on their products I'm trying to buy from. :confused:

    Alex and the crew at Fuzion Teknique, did such a great job on the color match for my steering wheel controls. I drop off some more part for treatment...
    Well today I picked them up and again very happy with their quality of work. Sorry got to dark for the install pics...

    i could be completely wrong, but the back of the steering wheel perhaps that houses the turn signal and wiper arms?
