@john1701a I don't know what kind of Charge Point you're using but the one near my house when the car has finished charging the Charge Point station resets and says "charger ready, tap card to start" I went back to the site again to perform the test you guys are doing. I charged the car, waited till it was finished, then went to remote climate turned on climate for max cool, waited the ten minutes, went back to the charge point station terminal where it said "tap card to start" which I did, green light on car lit momentarily then went off, so then I went back to remote climate and started another session (of which it reminded me to lock the doors) started another session this time successfully, Tapped my charge point card and the car started charging at .4 amps probably because I started a new remote climate session , after that ten minutes was up the amperage jumped up to 15.2 amps. charging time was 21 minutes Energy (kwh) 0.39

Here is the 2017 Prime Prime charging followed by a fob activated A/C:
I'm not sure if a second application of the "A/C" button turns if off. I remember turning it on; not sure, I did it a second time, and; when I got the car, it was no running so I used the button a third time. Regardless, the definitely used the 16A rate for a couple of minutes and then tapered off.

I'll be doing more tests this summer to get an idea of how long it runs under the worst case. Also, I wonder if it is just a single cool-down or does it sustain the temperature for some finite period of time.

Lol, I have a 120 VAC outlet next to my parking spot at my apartment complex. The post earlier was when I was at Consumers Energy's Charge Point station. No, No JuiceBox just a regular Juice Net (Juice Plug):D

During the day, the 110-120VAC outlet will show variations in voltage. I suspect this accounts for the different charge rates. One caution, if the A/C comes on to manage the battery pack temperature its load will be embedded in the data.

We've now both seen that either L1 or L2, the Prime will initially max the current at 16A if the A/C is activated. Just we don't have a good way to see if that is going on ... well there is a way but even I don't like it:
    • Use a J1772 extension to run the JuicePlug into the cabin of the car. Then monitor the cabin temperature ... See I knew no one would like this!
    • Get a time-stamped, temperature recorder and monitor the cabin temperature during a charge cycle. This one I like.

It's interesting how your Max charging rate is lower than mine. Mine is at 1.40kW to 1.37kW. yours also shows much more variance in the peak than mine. by looking at my longest time @ 120V (usually shows 118 to 119V) my longest time to date is 5:07 charging time and total of 6.78kWh from an empty EV range.

That could be it! Mine is right underneath the meter (panel) maybe 1.5ft of wiring to it.

    Did the circuit breaker trip?

The reason I ask is a circuit breaker has a non-linear temperature response. As it gets hotter, its resistance increases. But if not enough to trip, it could go into a slow oscillation like we see at the charging rate.

Are you referring to me? If yes, then, no the circuit breaker did not trip.

I got back from my 250 mile round trip, so, "dead" battery. I had problems with the Juice Plug ( forgot to open app when I started session, so came back downstairs from 14th floor to remove Juice Plug, wait for all led's to shut off, then went to my wi fi connection and connected Juice Plug Wi Fi, back on line after about 10-12 minutes of charging without Juice plug data) Here's my results.
