Lane following, preventable accident?

    LKA should have helped if the driver wasn't dead or unconscious. It wouldn't have kept the car in the lane but the beeping should have alerted the driver. I don't believe the trees are a big enough target for RCC or PCS to activate. They do a better job when the target is metallic & moving.

    LKA would've helped. PCS may not since a tree is a stationary object and as far as I can tell, DRCC doesn't brake if the object isn't moving (I'm not gonna try PCS unless I have a soft object to bump into like a pool noodle or some other styrofoam/paper object.)

    A video of some of the PCS testing that Volvo was doing had a
    lead truck with sort of a derrick hanging off the side, with a
    big metallized plastic bag of some sort hanging down toward the
    road pretending to be another car. The test driver would just
    come along behind and try to ram into it; harmless if he
    succeeded.
