Well, late response, but back in 2008 I carried a full sized oak wine barrel in the back of my 2007 w/ tailgate only a few inches from closing- was used as a rain barrel. The diameter of the barrel was about 1/2" larger than clearance from floor to ceiling at hatch opening- cant still maybe see the slight bump in the ceiling. After that I knew this was 'almost' a truck if needed.

Fit all I could to move from Arkansas to Colorado. I believe this is the most maxed out of them all! You can't add anything else and drive that far. There was a lot of wind noise and mileage did suffer about a third.

I wish I took photos of the inside with doors open: It was just as tight inside. I had to remove some weight as the rear was too close to the ground.

Here's the link about the hitch:
PriusChat Forums - ecowhale's Album: Class 3 Trailer Hitch

It comes in a box and may be bent a little bit in which case you can easily hammer it back in shape. It also is poorly powdercoated so I recommend repainting it some to prevent further rust. Despite all that trouble, it's better built (stronger) than the rest.

I don't have any photos but I managed four (4) new 17" tires and rims without having to remove my granddaughter's carseat from the middle of the back seat.

I doubt it with the original shipping box. Otherwise Samsung would get a lot of returns.

1st couple of weeks went and got 10 bags of mulch and 9 flats of flowers ! It was awesome and my wife kept telling me "it's not gonna fit" that's too much "stuff".

I think I could have gottem more, but didn't want to push it!

So the other day, I was able to bring a full set of kitchen countertops that all fit in my Prius in one trip. The longest piece was 10ft long by 2.25ft wide (back seats folded down and piece between the front two seats, stuck out of the back about 6"), and two other pieces were 6ft by 2.25ft wide. And I still had plenty more room to go. I could have brought double that no problem! Tomorrow I'm planning to bring a full sized dishwasher in it. Amazing cargo space!

Wow, blast from the past ...........5 year old thread ! :)
I will play along ..............with my 2011 Gen 3 .

Today went to Lowes and picked up a FULL size water softener (about the size of a water heater) with 6 bags of salt , and misc other stuff . Back seats down, and the hatch closed !
Just the other day, picked up an antique 4 shelf oak barrister bookcase with glass front panels for the wife . Again, back seats down , and the hatch closed !

Why do I even have a Suburban , lol ! :ROFLMAO:

Yesterday I picked up a 10ft section of vinyl downspout for the gutters (eavestrough). It fit from the passenger front window area to the rear window and the hatch closed. So almost 10ft because there was very little diagonal involved. Forgot my hacksaw so I was very happy with that.
