They don't dim the OEM brake lamps, and they don't affect the CHMSL in my experience (that problem had been reported earlier).

Just requires powering the marker and brake functions by tapping into the three wires feeding the OEM ground and marker/brake lamps.

    Air Boss,
So, with the lights functioning as both parking and brake lights do they get brighter upon braking or just flash quickly?

There are two internal LED arrays. One illuminates with marker lights, the other illuminates with brake lights, they both illuminate (brighter) with markers and brakes.

GOT MY REAR BUMPER LIGHTS TODAY.

I had them wired to be on only with parking and headlights - no brake or turn signal. I could have opted for one or the other.

    "Better seen than sorry."

BTW Air Boss, the bumper lights are wired for normal and high brightness for use as brake or turning signal if wanted. Mine are set up for "normal" brightness.

My bumper lights are wired to be on for "parking" and "headlight" only at normal brightness. I decided I didn't want them for turn or brake function.

NOTE: I had my rear bumper lights professionally installed and the wiring was routed through an existing rubber plug (replaced with a grommet) instead of along the rear door gasket. The installer protected the wiring (outside, under the body) between bumper and trunk floor with plastic "conduit" and silicone caulk seal in the underbody area. Very neat and OEM looking and no new holes were drilled.
** I had the wiring run this way because it is far less vulnerable than running it along the rear door seal area.

Right. I use them for parking/headlight (red) and brake (red). Turns are amber.

    Here are all my
    LIGHTING MODS:
    1. headlights -> Sylvania Silverstar Ultra
    2. fog lights -> Auer LED
    3. running lights -> CREE LED from JDMToy
    4. rear bumper -> Share + Style LED
    5. interior -> JDMToy

I may get interior footlights in a soft amber/white

BTW, d' ya think Lowrider v owners would like these tail lights in a sequential up-and-down blinking pattern. Jus' saying'...

Well that was the end of August 2014 and now March 2015 which is almost 7 months ago and I use my car daily for my business that required at least 3-4 stops with the trunk open/close, so there should be roughly over 1,200 cycles so far. And it looks like below:

As you can see it is still working and no signs of wear or tear, thus your concern is unfounded.
Thanks but no worry now folks.

Got my light set in about 5 days and plan to use a power tap off of the aux 12v. receptacle located in the cargo area, that is live while the car is on to power one array. I will tap this behind the panel to keep a clean install. This will serve as a DRL on the rear and will be run through one side of the to be used relays. I will use two double pole, double throw relays energized by the respective turn signals, which will break any power coming from the and "DRL" and brake circuit which will power the second lead to the light through the normally closed contacts. This is the lazy way to get both brake illumination and signal illumination at least while coasting to a turn or lane change and have no effect on the existing lights. Note the signal indication of the new lights will actually be the drop out of the light when the actual signal energizes the relay. Sort of a "wig/wag effect.

Easier to tap the tail/stop lamp leads? The lower led-backed reflector arrays have internal diodes to defeat leakage to the CHMSL.
