Just got news on the 22nd of June that one of my Prius' which happens to be the seaside pearl is at port and scheduled for delivery to my dealer in 10 days (Which should be sometime really soon !!!!) can't wait, not too bad of a wait since I placed the orders on the 30th of April.. Will keep you posted when it gets here and hopefully the other one will follow next month.

    2005 #6 Seaside Pearl

Last car was a 1990 Ford Probe (bought new). Best milage ever was 29mpg pure freeway. Last milage was 17mpg. I admit that was short city commuting, but still...

Hello all: well it is now July 2nd and we were out and about today and thought we would drive by the Toyota dealership and see if by chance my new seaside pearl happen to be there.. low and behold as we drove up, one of the bay doors was open and the salesman standing there waved us in to park the car we were in and I couldn't believe my eyes there was my Prius brand spanking new sitting inside with the plastic still on it. I had to rush in and take a long look at it.. in talking to the salesman I will pick it up on Tuesday evening. All in all it took 2 months exactly to get it here and I should mention that the 2nd car we ordered will now be here within 30 days so its next in line for shipment to the dealer here. Im so excited and can't wait until Tuesday... will post more then....

Really got the OPEC crowd, just drove 600 miles from Port Arthur to Fort Hood TX (Kileen) and got a cool 50 mpg., that is about 3 times better then my Explorer on the highway, but I do admit I did drive more conservatively with the Prius.

    Home is Washington, DC.

Just purchased a 2005 Driftwood Pearl with option package 6.

Last car purchase was a 1999 Chrysler 300M in 1998, my wife is driving it now. Drove three company cars since purchasing the 300M - two Ford Winstars (had just bought a house and needed to haul stuff) and turning in my company Grand Prix on Friday.

Bought the Prius as my main car, will be doing lots more driving in my new job and it makes sense in so many good ways.

    Cheers,
    Jeff

Good and welcome aboard wb9tyj., this country does need to use less gasoline, and going Hybrid is the way to go. A big plus also is the greatly reduced gasoline bill, heck Oregon had such a drop in demand they wanted to tax mileage..or was it the state of Washington.. Doing good for society should not be discouraged is what I say..
