Just commenting that while most people may not have heard of Supercar, you may have heard of The Thunderbirds. Both were done by Gerry Anderson, who when on to do UFO and Space 1999.

Daryl Hannah, playing "Pris" the replicant in "Blade Runner". Technically a clone, not a 'droid tho... :p

    Indeed, it was "Robot"...

As for that kid, yeah, he's from AI... Movie brought a tear to my eye... (I suppose that should go within the "confessional" thread)

I answered it in the next message when it dropped off the first page a second time -- It was the "defective robot" from "Zathura", technically a model that was only 4 days old (that's how long the movie had been out!)

You know, amongst those same lines, check this out, dolls that are eerily "life-like" geared towards impure interests:

(warning, MAY be not work safe, the first page, the one I gave a link to is OK, but I can't vouch for anything further)

Don't have one of those (saw them featured on HBO's Real Sex once), but I do have a Virtual One

(Since this is a geek thread, check out these photos from PRIUSCAM. For yucks I temporarily stuck a wireless security camera in the prius and went driving along the street and tried to stream video to recorder in the house. Would only get connection in the driveway or in front of the house....
