You poor guys. Here in Southern California in the city of Anaheim they give us $1,000 check to pay for a rapid charger. My charger actually cost $1,100. It ended up costing me $100 including the installation by a qualified electrician.

Your photo is showing a NEMA 6-20 plug rated for 20 amps at 250 volts. Unless you want the portability, just have him cut off the plug and wiring your new charging station into a box. Or install a matching 6-20 receptacle, and you can plug and unplug it...or maybe knock it loose. Or, install a locking NEMA L11-20 plug and receptacle that locks into place with a twist.

The specs on your unit say that it is good for 220 volts and 50 Hertz (cycles per second). You house has 240 volts (or 235 or 237 or something like that) and 60 Hertz. Let us know how it works.

That's the cable I purchased. Totally happy so far. Much faster than the Toyota supplied cable. (Why didn't they supply a dual voltage cable?)

I purchased my level 2 Duosida charger on eBay for ~$219. It so happens it's the same outlet as my 220V air compressor. All I have to do is unplug one and plug in the other. Doesn't get any easier.

Well, how does that compare to my $296 for the Duosida level two charger, and $300 to my electrician for both a 240 and a 120 GF Protected circuit? Not subsidized though, all cash from me.

You DID buy a charging station from China. It was portable, not a hard mounted box on the wall, but still it is a Level 2 EVSE charging station; much more than a mere cable.

 

Try this (?)... I just went to e-Bay, typed "Level 2 Chargers" in the "Search" section (next to where it says "Shop by category") and the link below is what came up. Hope this both "works" and helps you out....

Here is a NEMA straight blade plug chart (National Electrical Manufacturers Assn. (of the U.S.))

NEMA designations starting with 6- have a 250 volt rating for home use with standard 240 volt power.
This does not include the curved blades of locking plugs and receptacles. "P" means Plug.

1. A plug is the thing (wiring device) on the end of the cord with the blades. A receptacle is the thing in the wall box with the slots for the blades. A connector is the thing on a cord with slots for the blades. In the chart above plugs are on the left of the configuration column and receptacles and connectors are on the right of the column. Kind'a interesting...the 20 amp 125 volt plug and the 20 amp 250 volt plug are almost mirror images of each other with the horizontal blade on opposite sides--can't be interchanged but could be confused in the bins at a hardware store.

U.S. house voltage is 120 volts (upped from 110 volts back in the 1930's) and 240 volts (or something like 118 and 236 or something close to that depending on how much power you and your neighbors are using at that time.)
