I took the advice offered here, and had them install a 50A circuit, so I am "future proof" in the event we buy a full EV down the road.

:) Nice install. I like the Leviton systems. Looks like we have the same model, different color. My only complaint, the EXTRA heavy duty electrical connector. Gets even less pliable in the winter. Would you share the general cost for running the 240V line?

Labor and materials was $193, but that is "Homey Hookup". I'm not sure what he would charge someone who wasn't a friend. Also, having a 50A instead of the required 40A circuit added some unnecessary materials cost in the interest of saving labor down the road when/if I need the extra capacity.

Mine lives in a heated garage, and we don't get "real" winters here in Oregon. (Unless you live in Eastern Oregon, or the mountains) My connector should remain pliable.
