One problem with self-driving is that it is less proactive in other people’s driving than manual driving. I am usually not worried about my driving but others’. I could take better evasive action while driving manually if I notice another car driving dangerously. If everyone had self-driving cars, it would be great, but when you are the only one with them, they hardly improve your safety.
