Lift gate handle. Need installation help...

    My lift gate handle has come loose for a second time. First time epoxy was used and that worked really well since the contact was plastic and it Broke. This time it's more loose and afraid if I use epoxy again in same exact spot it won't. Adhere the Same?

    Dealer wants about $380 total for everything. I found on ebay

    Only thing if I buy from another source I don't know how to install can anyone provide a YouTube clip or pictures with step by step?

    That. Would really help

    My model has the button to lock also and the piece is Black on a 2004 prius

    First, may I suggest that you stop thinking of that "trim plate" as a handle. You've already learned that part cannot withstand the stresses involved in raising the hatch.

    Instead, move the hatch just a couple of inches upwards, then put your hand underneath the hatch metal to do the rest of the lifting.

    Please see my string below regarding how to remove and replace the trim plate as well as the other associated parts.

    The plastic clip snapped off behind the sks button causing the picture above come loose.
