On the limited, they're just fake plastic inserts that are supposed to look like vents.

On the XLE AWD-e, they look like something else entirely? Are they actual vents or lights?

    Are you in the States?

Pretty sure it's all just plastic dreck, mat-black plastic on some levels, some sorta lights on others. All the manufacturers are into contouring these fog/trim light locations to look like some sorta air intake, and it's all bs.

Some do the same thing on the rear bumpers, too, so the imaginary air that comes in at the front has somewhere to exit.

Any idea what trim levels have actual lights? Cause if so I'm going to order them and replace the fake inserts or I'm going to order extra fake inserts and modify them with lights.

Can’t confirm but AWD-e models have the silver plastic with thin LED light strip. (I say can’t confirm because I’m not sure if it’s just the XLE AWD-e or both the LE AWD-e and XLE AWD-e). Other models have the black plastic insert.

I find the pdf brochures are often easiest to track down stuff like this. The back page with the fine-print about the levels. There should be a download link on the Toyota site.

I wondered if that was the case but every shot I've seen of these don't show any actual light.

What sucks is I would have chosen the AWD-e if I could have gotten it with the Limited but apparently in Canada, the XLE AWD there comes with the 11.6" screen while here in the US you have to get the Limited.

    Thanks for that.

Accent lights. So if you have the fogs, you also have the LED accents. What they heck is "stun factor"????

How did they not include these in the top trim?

In the parts catalog it's called a DRL.

DAYTIME RUNNING LAMP OR ILLUMINATION LAMP. 2019 Toyota Prius HYBRID | Toyota

I had to use a VIN from an actual XLE AWD in order to get it to show that part.

Note, these are just the led lights that go into the trim. Still trying to figure out which part is the actual molding. There are two and it isn't clear which is the black insert vs the housing for the LED light.

The Hybrid Pitstop in Buena Park California has used Japanese OEM fogs for sale. I got a set and they look NEW!

The power connector for the accent lights is already right there on tab next to the insert on the inside, so this will be plug and play. I'll report back with he part numbers for the insert housings when I figure that out.

    The part numbers are:

    Lights:
    812B0-47020
    812A0-47020

    Insert housing:
    52713-47060
    52712-47060

About $500 before shipping and tax from a discount online Toyota dealer.

Note that there were differences in headlight housing for Touring vs. Non-Touring. The Touring had a white LED chevron parking light while the non-Touring used the turn signal as the amber parking light.

In the photo above, it appears the AWD versions have a white LED above the headlights.

Looks like a wiring harness is needed. I think it's
    81935-47060

but I'm not 100% certain. It appears the same harness also plugs into the fogs if you have them. I might add those later but it's a separate switch on the left stalk that the US Limited doesn't have so I don't know how I'd turn them on or off.

I think if you do fogs later you put a switch in one of the dash blanks?

The entire switch assembly around the steering column ranges from $115 to $150 depending on which is the right one. Unfortunately the diagram does say so it'll take some dealer filtering on the vin but I'd go that route given it will likely be plug and play.

That said, if the controllers default state is on (when the low beams are on) then I won't bother adding a switch.

I called the Toyota dealer this morning that I placed the online order with. That is the correct wiring harness. They also said if I'd just called them I could have save the time researching as they get multiple daily orders from around the country for the exact same parts because folks are upgrading their limited trims to have the accents and fogs which the limited should have already had.
