The iPhone 4 uses a micro-sim. Not sure about your RAZR.

Re: Hardware that Works with Prius - LG VX5600 Accolade

I've been using the very basic feature phone LG VX5600 Accolade for 6 months or so and it works well with my 05 Prius. Connection is quick and reliable. It allows upload of all selected entries from phone book. It connects and disconnects gracefully when moving unit to and from the car.

This phone does not ring through the car speakers, but they do go silent so you can hear the unit ring. It does not allow transfer of a complete phone book unless you go through and select all records, one at a time. But once you select all the records you want, transfer goes well.

Now I'm changing service providers, so I'm starting a search for a new basic feature phone that functions well in the areas I've mentioned, but I'll start a new thread for that...

AT&T rep (I have AT&T now with my RAZR) said they trim the RAZR sim card and it fits just fine in the Iphone. She has done it a number of times and it works....anybody else try this. I could always return the Iphone if I got one and couldn't pair it up.

My Android MB860 (AT&T) works well with my 2007 Prius. All contacts uploaded at one time (when I finally figured out how to do it). Now if there were just a way to allow Phone Book access via the touchscreen while motivating down the road. I find it absurd that this is a limited function since it only makes me use the phone itself to make a call that isn't on speed dial, and that makes me even more unsafe while driving. I could of course, voice command the actual number to dial but who has numbers written down any more?:)

I've been wondering how to do this myself... So how do you upload contacts to the Prius (I have a 2007 model myself). My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Nexus if it matters.

This works for stock Android 4.1.4 on my Samsung Galaxy S Relay. Your mileage may vary.

    - Go to the Prius Phonebook and select "Transfer"

    - On your Android phone:
    • Go to your contacts list
    • Touch "menu"
    • Touch "Import/Export"
    • Touch "Send namecard via"
    • (Your phone will display your contacts list with checkboxes)
    • Touch "Select All" at the top of the list
    • Touch "Done" at the upper right of the screen
    • Touch "Bluetooth" on the "Complete action using" screen
    • Touch the Prius's bluetooth connection in the "Available devices" list
Depending on the size of your phone book it may take a while to complete the transfer. There doesn't seem to be any kind of progress indicator on either side, so you have to take it on faith that it's working. When it's done, the MFD will display, "Transfer complete."
