    I can tell you even if the company contests the dispute, the credit card company 95% of the time sides with the customer anyway.

    Yep, hence makes no sense for anyone to get wound up when it comes to CC disputes.

    OP, don't return the money until the CC dispute is resolved (i.e., you actually get the credit back). Not following procedure only creates more problems.
