Lockpick 3+ - i know there's a lot of threads, but what is it (hardware wise)?

    i know there's a lot of lockpick threads, i'm just wondering what the thing is, people call it a hack- is it a set of plugs that have wires jumpered in specific ways? or something with its own electronics? or what? i'd like to know more about the electronics on how it works before i drop 300 dollars on it

    It's a microcontroller sitting on AVC-LAN bus and sending commands when needed.
