Summer is here, the season of road trips! Do you have tips for long distance road trips in an EV?

A few suggestions from our Facebook & Twitter communities to kick it off...
    • Ben: Bring an adapter for RV Parks if you plan to travel through the central or mountain time zones.
    • Sunil: Use regenerative braking [and] switch to eco mode at high speed
    • Ed: Instead of the interstate, take the secondary roads [for] better scenery and better ev range.

over 15 years of prii driving in Nevada and hot muggy Midwest...we try to bump up the A/C to 75 -78 and run the fan low-med...additionally, watch your tire pressures and adjust accordingly...max side wall usually runs around 44psi(read your tire)...so with increased heat and road surface temps...adjust accordingly... Tinting helps ...Now as far as driving speeds go...keep it moderate...don't drive like you stole it!...a don't keep topping off gas...with heat comes expansion...i know the older prii with tank bladders can be a pain...i know the prime has no bladder and it wont let you top off...so when the pump quits, you stop...
