Hello everyone I do have another thread where I asked a lot of questions but in order to focus on this one question that I have I have started a new thread.

So my car was involved in a collision and although no airbags were deployed I am having trouble starting the car. Gas engine runs for a few seconds then stalls. The manual says this:

    EMERGENCY SHUT OFF SYSTEM

When a certain level of impact is detected by the impact sensor, the emergency shut off system blocks off the high voltage current and stops the fuel pump to minimize the risk of electrocution and fuel leakage. If the emergency shut off system activates, your vehicle will not restart. To restart the hybrid system, contact your Toyota dealer.

Does anyone have any info on what this system is and what it does exactly when it detects and impact?
