Loosed machine screw, where did it fall from?

    This greeted me as I opened the door to my Prius this morning.

    Laying in the driver's foot rest area, I tried to contort myself to look up under the dash, with no luck. Any ideas from what this screw could have been to? Thank you.

    It's the most common screw that holds dash together... Good excuse to take apart your dash and do some cleaning, but nothing to worry about if you don't want to deal with it. On the other hand painting your air vents in black plastic dip like I did makes the interior look much nicer.

    Thank you for your response. Your dash looks very nice. I'm fortunate that the two previous owners of this Prius took good care of the interior. I do need to spend some time on closer inspection, ust hoping it wasn't is it a critical hinge-pun to a flux capacitor
