Once your family have all left you home on your own you can use your house as clubrooms and form a local Prius Club. Pretty soon you will have a load of new friends!!
Do what the folks in the midwest do - form a support group. Form a hybrid car interest group (don't want to drive away those HCH and FEH people). Look for a free (or cheap) location, preferably with food (or bring your own). Put up some fliers in places you might find Prius folks (Starbucks? bookstores? university campuses?) Offer "Hybrid car information" & on the day of your event put up signs at the curb inviting drop-ins. It worked in Milwaukee - check the websites for the Milwaukee & Madison & Chicago Hybrid groups. You'll acquire a whole group of friends who talk about their cars just as much as you do (if not more) and learn something besides. Also consider coming to Hybridfest in Madison Wisconsin this summer. You can talk hybrids for 3 days & no one will think you're crazy. If you want a t-shirt, you can become a member of Hybridfest - check their website, too.
