Los Angeles Drivers: Any recommendations for good Prius auto shops?

    Hey yall, I got a 2012 prius and my car has been giving me some weird electrical issues, primarily within my radio/gps panel. it sometimes switches to other audio sources or turns on or off randomly.
    plus, I feel like my engine has been doing weird things with the engine not winding down quickly, or my Electrical mode doesn't even turn on when letting off the gas, even when my speed is below 40.


    I'm hoping that it's not a haunted prius, but I'm also hoping I don't have any potentially bad technical or mechanical issues going on with my ride. I ran over a auto tire that fell onto the freeway right in front of me a few months back. it fucked up my bumper a little bit, but I never took my car in to get it checked to see if the tire did any more damage....and I'm fearing that tire might be the spark of my weird troubles...

    anyways, I'm looking for a good and honest auto shop to take my ride to - closer to Hollywood, the better.

    The engine will not shut down unless you are in full hybrid mode also known as S4 Mode.

    OMG Hybrid 911. You should ask them questions beforehand. The answers you get will tell you what type of operation they run.

    You've been there? They are a auto body/salvage repair type joint. You can't beat their price for transmission change/engine changes. ($1200 out the door for one). I did have to bleed my coolant a few times after I took it back as it wasn't bled properly.

    With that said they cut corners unfortunately and I had to fix those minor issues myself.

    You should ask them about their battery rebuilding process.........you'll get the HOLY CRAP, Wth effect. A professional shop should fix the car properly without you having to do minor issues yourself.

    No need to do the PM. Buy a used battery from a salvage yard.....don't rebuild.
