    Update. The dealer changed the hybrid battery. The car is working normaly. Its been two weeks and everything is working normaly.

    Glad it is working normally. There is a possibility the new battery actually fixed it, but it sounds more like an ECU problem. And since the HV ECU and Hybrid ECU were combined in GenIII, it is doubtful that a pack replacement replaced any ECUs...

    No lemon law down here in Mexico. There is no human way to make a car dealer to take a car back here. Once you paid, that's it, even if they haven't delivered the car yet.

    El consumo depende mucho del estado de la batería hibrida. ¿Qué consumo te está dando con la nueva y cuál te daba con la anterior? A mi en Tampico me está dando 5l/100 religiosamente, con arranca para continuo. Me baja hasta 4 o algo menos cuando agarro menos semáforo.

    Me esta dando 4 litros cada 100 kms. Antes con la batería que falló me estaba dando como 6 lts. Muy raro que haya fallado la batería a los 5 mil kms. Pero ya quedo. Tengo dos semanas de que lo arreglaron y todo funciona bien. Saludos.

    Yes they did. They changed the hybrid battery. Wasnt holding the charge. Its been two weeks and the car is working normally.

    Consumption was a 50% higher with the bad one, like previous generations. Good information to diagnose failures.

    Update. Two months ago the dealer changed the hybrid battery. Last night again no power the battery indicator was at two lines. Engine trying to charge the batteries for 15 minutes and the bars stayed at two lines. Today the is working normally.

    sounds like the gen 4 might be toyota's most plagued vehicle to date. i really thought they would put more effort into this one.(n)
