    Hello All,

I have a 2005 Prius and three days ago i noticed that when i turn on the heat, the car makes a loud noise under the hood, goes away, makes the noise, goes away and does it one more time and doesn't do it anymore unless the car is turned off and restarted with the heat on. I'm not really sure what this is... fyi the car just hit 265,000 miles last weekend.

Use the Air Conditioning active tests in Techstream to turn on and off the individual bits of the system one at a time, and note which one makes a loud noise under the hood.
