Low beam headlights burning out

I also have a 2010 Prius and have the same issues identical to yours. My Prius is the base model and has 75,000 miles. So far i've replaced both low beams and just had both my high beams go out and will replace them asap. My lamps have behaved just as yours, i tap them and then they come back on, then after that they blow. the other night all i did was turn on my lights and when i hit the bright switch the high beams failed. I would like to know what is causing this problem before i spend any more money on replacement bulbs.

 

If you used your high beams alot you should have them check the fuses and wiring. I have a 2012 Prius with the same issue. My driver's side light went out. The high beams are working,but the low beam drivers side is not.?
