I just bought a Prius with some electrical problems. I hooked up TechStream and got a few different codes. P0A80 p3000 and poaa4 and poaa1.When I checked the cell voltage through TechStream it showed all blocks were around 15.9 volts except block 4 was around 7 volts. I was wondering if anyone on here has experienced similar symptoms or if anyone would have any advice. Doesn’t 7 volts seem really low for a block? Also the Prius won’t go in ready mode.

yes, probably why you're getting the P0A80

You obviously have a bad cell unless its just a bad connection / corrosion. Of course thats a big difference so it could fry the whole battery quickly if it were operated like that.

So could it possibly be just a bad connection or corrosion?

maybe. you'd have to open the case and look. how is the 12v health?

I figured it out.Opened up the case and one of the modules on block 4 was completely blown.I could actually lift the top up on the cell.Changed it out and everything works fine. However I still have a red triangle. I checked everything with Techstream and there are no codes. Will it sometimes take a bit for the red triangle to go out or is there still a problem?

tech stream should have a way to clear the codes, was the new module within parameters?

can you make the car ready?

doesn't ring a bell. idk the connection between the codes and lights. a cpu i assume? give it a few days and if it doesn't go out, try a new thread stating the problem
