    Having seen the Karma at the 2009 Detroit auto show, I'm not shedding a tear. As for Lutz, this sounds more like revenge than a favor.

    Any idea of how many Karmas might still be out there? I found 11 listed on eBay and I still have no interest.

    2500 were built. Numbers I have seen are about 1200 - 1500 in owners hands but I really don't know how accurate that is.
    The Karma was all about looks over functionality. It is a nightmare in electric efficiency as well as gas.
    The electric efficiency is only half of the Model S and about a third of the LEAF.

    Word is though that the buyer of the DOE loan is looking to go forward with the plans for a less expensive luxury sedan. Hopefully some good will come out of the whole mess.

    It isn't clear that Fisker has any assets worth owning. The relatively poor vehicle performance and history of mystery fires shows a 'pretty face' is not enough. But I remember their booth at the January 2009, Detroit auto show, and I was not impressed. Too much glitz and not enough engineering.
