So, if I pulled the negative cable on the 12-volt to clear DTCs, did I also lose the reminder to change my oil?

I think the oil change should be due around the end of the month anyway -- seems to me I did it in September, but just wondering. Can't find any posts about it.

The reminder is at 5000 miles. My dealer wants to only do oil (full Syn) every other and just check and rotate. I force the 5000 cycle. But if you realise the gas engine does not run full time. What's the big deal.

The odometer does not get lost (thank god). So maybe ditto for maintenance minder, since it's basically counting mileage? Just speculating.

We don't have that feature in Canada, don't miss it. If it did, it would just be underfoot, months always trumps miles, our case.

I have disconnected the 12 V several times and the MAINT light timing has never been affected.
