Something is not right. You shouldn't have to turn the gain ALL the way down to eliminate the noise.

If I plug my phone into the aux on the deck and try to charge it noise is different and waaaay louder.
Unplug the charger and it's just the usual high whine.
Was thinking of trying old-school filters on the power line to the deck and processor.

What I've noticed the noise gets worse after things warm up . So I need to check it after the battery and car have been used.

That's very strange that it gets worse after the engine is warm. Don't know why it would make any difference????

After looking at your list and looking at last post, I do not see anything mentioned about using RCA sound isolators.

You do not need those power isolators.
Try the RCA type and you will be happy.

I did not look through the whole thread but if you are still having issues its because you have not tried RCA isolators.

My rcas only go from my processor to the amp. Less then 2ft long. No rcas go from the deck to the back. Still think of an issue?

    @audiodave

Are you using the stock head unit or aftermarket unit?

Not sure if your gen prius runs its HV battery orange cable on passenger side but never run audio cables next to the orange cable.

When hooking up your 4ch amp did you rewire all the speakers directly to the amp?

It's a Alpine deck and the speakers (separates) are run directly to the amp. I tried moving the processor once further back l, all the way to the back of the car and it didn't help. Orange battery wire is run on the driver's side. My Ai-net cable is run on the passenger and it's the only cable run from the deck. Trying a new cable on top of the upholstery didn't help.

With a ipod plugged straight into the amp it's quiet. iPod just laying back there with a cheap cord.

Dave, You have quite a conundrum going on here . Never heard of it being so difficult to isolate the noise in a system before.

Tried the second filter on the processor and changer, still no change! Have have them powered to the amp power and ground. Amp is hooked directly to the 12 volt.

Seems like you have replaced each jumper and ground wire and still have the interference noise. That must mean one of your components in the system is bad. Nothing else it could be. you'll have to go thru them one at a time to see which one is bad . I don't envy you

Im going to try the iPod directly into the amp again to make sure it's totally quiet. Maybe something with the processor. Two different decks had the issue. The processor is the only thing if the iPod directly into the amp is quiet.

The solder joints all looked good inside the processor. I haven't retried the iPod and still at a loss with this bs. Lol
