So, retired last spring, although they bring me in a few times a week for a couple of hours.

BUT -- I'm 61 and in the past few months I have been living in blue denim and T-shirts -- but somehow -- it seems I forgot to zip the fly more often than not. Luckily, most of the T-shirts are long enough they cover the gaffe.

Just realized as I sat down at the computer this morning -- yep -- unzipped.

In the past couple of months, I AM remembering to check the fly as I walk out to the car -- usually -- sort of a mental checklist. Keys, wallet, pen, fly....

I wouldn't post this, but....I remember way back when I had my first real job, one of the older guys (probably about my age now LOL), more often than not, walked around work with his fly open.

Is this just something that is predetermined by male hormones (or lack thereof).

You need to perfect the surreptitious fly check, say straightening your jacket, aligning your belt.

Ever have one of those days, when everyone seems to be giving you an odd look, you can't figure out why...

Since I have multiple sets of keys and multiple phones....whenever I leave the office or the house I always physically recite an oral or at least a loud mental checklist sighting or touching various things that I have to have when I travel from office to office.
"Phone, Phone, Keys, Keys, Wallet, Badge, ....um....other "items".
I almost always check the fly----since I still work daily and thus....drink coffee VERY regularly.
Since my offices are as much as 50 miles away from each other, forgetting an item usually comes with consequences......like an unplanned 100 mile round trip.
I cheat as much as I can.....like keeping Goofy's key fob on the same key-ring as my access badge and tie-wrapping a keylet to Goofy's exterior with a spare fob inside in case I get separated from my badge (and fob) by a self-closing office door.

Since I'm one of "those people" with a CCP, pausing and checking to make sure that small, embarrassing items are not visible comes second nature - and so I very seldom have to worry about whether or not it's....."one o'clock."

3 million years since stone tools.

    110 years since zippers.

    We'll get it right eventually.

If keeping a zipper fly closed is so hard, I wonder how did we mange to keep the button fly closed?

Fortunately, I no longer have any Levi's 501.;)

Currently wearing 501, and I find it easier to undo most of the assembly instead of a couple of snug midmast buttons.

Don't feel to bad, Einstein was known to forget wearing pants out of the house. An unzipped zipper is not that bad, unless, you're going commando. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
