    On a macro level, Toyota Motor North America reported March 2019 sales of 214,947 vehicles. Light trucks marked a best-ever March, with 114,844 in sales.

    gas already up to $3 around me, it will be over $4 soon. suv's / trucks will fall out of favor as the majority who own them cant actually afford them ; )
    OPEC now has an ally in the oval office.
    i might sell on of my Primes for a profit and pick up a nice devalued suv at that time...

    That will likely not be the case. The demand for Primes is not high, and yours have the typical new car depreciation curve.

    They produce about 1/6 of the oil we purchase from abroad. The majority of our imports come from Canada. And overall, the majority of the oil we consume comes from domestic sources. By my math, 16% of 40% = 6.4% of our oil consumed is from OPEC.

    Meh, adjusted to inflation gas prices have been rather flat, cars incl. SUVs are getting more and more efficient, so don't have your hopes up, hippies.
