The dark side of the moon is a misnomer (back side would be better). It isn't always dark. It is always pointed away from the Earth. When the moon is full, the back side is dark; but when the moon is new, the back side is lit.

There's no such thing as bad publicity. What a coup for Camping and his friends. They are running a 177 million non profit. They'll have to put that money that comes in from donations resulting from this visiblity from a whole new pile of idiots somewhere to keep profits =0. I know, how about their pockets. Damn, I wish I would have thought of this. I'm not "religious" enough to actually do it though.

You can sure that during the day today Camping's nitwit believers greeted any news of calamity, such as that landslide that destroyed an orphanage, with hope and joy, not emotions associated with a healthy mind.

Any mind that looks forward to apocalypse while thinking itself immune from widespread suffering can only be called obscenely immoral and sociopathic, and in need of professional medical attention.
