    One of the main reasons why I would want a plug-in/EV car, with abundant wind power in Texas, not only are you powering your car with renewable energy, it's incredibly cheap to charge your car at night!

    Yep -- it really is a nice synergism.

    I read that Texas is already curtailing wind production from the West due to inadequate infrastructure to bring it to the big cities. I hope they continue their (up to now) forward thinking policy of underwriting the building of high power lines, or the wind expansion is going to ground to a halt.
