    Exactly. If it helps reduce maintenance/running costs for the truckers, all the better. Yes, the initial cost will be higher but with the distance they travel, it might work (esp. if they're crossing the mountains, recharging the battery on those downhill stretches instead of jake braking should help with fuel economy.

    Apperantly this gets 15% better overall combined mpg in Europe, compared to their 350 CDI.

    350 Bluetec CDI gets 21/32 MPG in the USA.

    I would expect higher city here though, as it is full hybrid, even if battery output is 26hp, it will be useful in EPA cycle... so better than 21/32, but nowhere close to numbers geniouses at Autoblog convert it at.
