Currently on a trip out west in my 2011 gen3. Using the obd fusion app on iPhone and a obdii device I've been able to carefully monitor temperatures. Mg2 temps reached 240 twice so far. First time was on the very long climb to apache summit in New Mexico. The second time was today crossing the desert plains of Texas on a remote 2 lane road where the outside temps were 99 degrees and facing constant 40 mph headwinds. In both cases slowing down didn't help lower the temperatures and stopping wasn't an option.

The day before the trip I changed the oil and the transmission fluid. 2nd change on this car at 90k miles.

    Should I be worried?
