Midwest Dealers Still Want Premiums Over MSRP

    You got a great deal, but you mean MSRP. Invoice for a Prius III is $21,784 according to:

    That has MSRP of $23,400. Add $200 for floormats (I know, absurd, but that's the MSRP for the mats) $750 for destination charge and and you get $24,350.

    My $22,000 is $2350 off MSRP. According to the printout that the dealer showed me, this was $600 off dealer invoice. FWIW.

    Some places like Consumer Reports claims to provide Dealer Invoice numbers. I haven't done that. I'm going by what the dealer showed me.

    This thread is getting pointless now, but:

    If you follow up on that Edmunds page then once destination is added, the Invoice value comes out to be $22,534 and that does not include floor mats. Mine was $22,000 + tax and title.

    I'm done.

    Had a silver 2009 silver genII prius pkg5
    Only had 20K miles.but wanted 2010 so I bought it!!Wow what a difference A year makes ,The dealer had 42 of the 2010'S...I had to wait for my 2009 for 2 months !!!
    bought a 2010 pkg 5 wow this thing is nice. Heated seats, leather, Better gas mileage, Just a nicer car all around!!
