Mile calc question

    But the most important fact is that all 17 calculate a close approximation of the "real" number using distance values measured with an inaccurate (+- 3% ?) odometer and an equally inaccurate (+- ??) flow meter aka gas pump and without taking into account additional factors such as ambient and fuel temperatures, tire pressure etc. :D

    Oh and don’t forget the hundreds of posts about the guess gauge. :p

    How about a formula to calculate man-hours used to improve the MPG :lol:

    my average mileage for 78 tanks of gas and three yeas is 42.3 US MPG. That is calculated on miles driven by fuel used. The first tanks mean nothing in the big picture.
