I just did 37.6mpg for about 74 miles lol.

Eco mode with AC on at 72f. Very hot out side.

Crawling up and down hills all day with constant stopping.

Had this been a non hybrid 4cyl. I bet it would be below 20 mpg.

Hey Pilot! Yeah...you prob would have been in the 20's mpg with most other rides if not all. hahaha. It's painful when we see a lower mpg in our Toys due to conditions b/c now we have expectations of higher mpg's, but it's good to keep it all in perspective like you did. I need to remember that too.
I've been using the a/c a little this summer but I've been keeping it at about 78, 79. I've learned how to drive the Prius better in the last week...believe it or not. hahah. I keep the ECO slider below the 1/2 way point and that either maintains my current mpg or it switches to battery. My cruise and coasting has increased which has contributed to increasing my mpg, even with the a/c. I do take a hit with the a/c on...no way around it...but it's less as I practice the ECO slider game.
    Stay cool (y)

lol... This thread is hilarious... Always makes me think of all those people coal rolling slow Prius drivers in the deep south... I used to be into great MPG, but now I'm more interested in not pissing off people behind me, as well as getting people in front of me to get out of the way. It may lower my MPG, but 'ya know, my priorities have changed...

hey Donut....great mpg there on that 10 mile run! I've learned a basic rule of thumb when it comes to mpg. 3 simple steps.
    1) Anytime over the ECO line on my dash gauge = losing mpg.
    2) Usually anytime below the ECO line = mpg staying as is.
    3) Anytime using just ECO battery = gaining mpg.

Hope u continue to get good runs!

That's great Dimitrij! We have the same ride, but mines a trim 3. If you don't have a Red Bullet, look into it. It will most likely get around +10 mpg extra and better acceleration without compromising anything. Just take the ECO mode off if/when you install it. Max Taiwan is your contact within PriusChat...let him know I referred ya over if ya contact him. (y)

^ I wish I could try the Red Bullet, but I am guided by the Prime Directive: "Do not interfere with the natural development of life inside the _____ (insert the name of the system that fan forums encourage you to tinker with)".

lol Dimitrij. Not sure any engine out there was made by parts falling from the sky into just the right order (ie, natural development), but I think I still understand your metaphor and respect your choice.

What's hilarious about this thread existing in a Prius c forum? Obviously one of the major draws of hybrid cars is great fuel economy. I understand the types of drivers you're referring to, but (as I'm sure you're aware) you don't have to try very hard to have some great MPG days in these cars. I drive pretty much the same as I did in my previous car (i.e. normal speeds in town, usually cruise 5 miles over the speed limit on highways and interstates, run the AC in the summer, etc.) and still often get 45-50+ MPG on the highway and 50-70+ in town.

Good fuel economy after a long overdue alignment with new rubber.
Got alignment issues with my previous set of Yokohama and the front tires chewed up the outer lips on both sides. Was a shame because they had another rotation left in them.
Made sure I got a proper alignment with my Michelin energy saver. Corrected the toe in by 0.50, was 0.75 now 0.23. That was the only thing the tire shop did, camber and caster was fixed on these cars I believe, they were even so I guess they just left it at that.
1st impression; WOW the car now glides with very little resistance when I lift my foot off the gas.
No more pulling on narrow turns, tracking nicely, only downside is on highway it is slightly more sensitive to inputs.
The fuel economy is nice to look at when the car is turned off. 20201120_155238.jpg

"But the Prius c likes this kind of traffic."

Check you HV battery to make sure you have good capacity. I think there are threads for hyper eco out there as well.
We have the Prius V now... I am missing those numbers from the C.
