I share your feeling, the Gen4 in my opinion with the rear lights is one of the ugliest things Toyota has ever produced sadly :(

Just purchased the Hikari Ultra LED kit a month ago. Dramatically improves the night time lighting!

I have a 2011 with 125,000 miles. Oil pan replaced due to metal object in roadway piercing it, spark plugs replaced last year, front tire sensor replaced on drivers side from a ribbon that wrapped itself around it, otherwise, everything else original. Brakes still in great condition. 45.7 average MPG. I’m seriously thinking about a new Prius, but hate the current generation design. Hoping a great redesign happens soon!

Can you post a link to the model for the headlights, Amazon maybe? There are many different models and I need to know which one for my 2010.

I just installed them on my 2010. They're brighter than my wife's Gen4 headlights.

Thank you, I’m looking at the kit on Amazon now. It’s the H11 size correct?

Has anyone had to make beam adjustments with these? Just wondering if there is any install modifications I should be prepared for or are they just plug and play?

Anyone with these bulbs chime in when you get a chance. My bulbs do not say Luminleds along the bulb like in the instructions. I have read there may be some imposter bulbs being sold on Amazon. Anyone that has these did yours have the luminleds alongside the bulb?

If your old bulbs don't need adjustment to focus right these new bulbs won't need adjustment.

That I don't know. Did not inspect my Hikari LED bulbs before installing. Do they look like the Hikari LED light fixtures on the web?

Glad to read these longevity stories here. I had a 2004 GEN2 going strong at close to 290,000 miles when a schmuck in an S600 side swiped me and the damage was too much to repair. Still was in driving condition but I was too embarrassed to drive it. In the interim I leased a 2016 Civic Touring which is a really nice car and gets outstanding gas mileage with a turbo no less! On the highway I easily got over 40 MPG at between 65-70. Around town it averaged 33-35. Lease was up and now I got a used 2013 Prius V III. I am consistently averaging 50-52 on each tank. The warm south Florida weather helps. I passed on the GEN4 because like a few of you who have chimed in, it is terribly ugly. After 3 years I still can not warm up to it. I have driven one and it drives very nicely, but what an ugly butt!! Anyway, the 2019 is looking to be an interesting Prius. The rear is re-done and looks similar to the Prime. Overall some of the odd lines have been smoothed out AND you can get AWD!!! I also saw the 2020 Toyota Corolla and that will have a hybrid engine as a choice. Its very nice looking too.
