I can get this with the cables and cd's for 44 bucks. Is this a good deal and will it work on my laptop for my 2006 Prius?
    Thanks

    That's without the cd.

I guess my question would be who has bought this product and how much was it and where did you buy it?
    Thanks

It does come with a driver CD but you can download a free version of Techstream Software by just googling "miniVCI download". You probably will not find the latest version 7.30.
I bought my miniVCI Xhorse from Ebay a couple of years ago when they were a bit more expensive and it still works fine. No complaint.

I ordered version 8.00.034 with CD/Drivers for $25.99 on Ebay, and it worked great. It's a hacked version of Techstream but that's okay, was able to get codes that my OBDII wouldn't. Saved me $90 visit to the dealer, plus a whole lot of BS.

I got my mini vci v8.00 034 tech stream and am having problem getting it to work.
Laptop running win xp, installed drive, software and key code. Now I get a box that wants me to register before my 30 chances run out, now I am down to 15.

I tried to register but the link in the box does not work. Once I click ok on the box it connects using the USB but I don't see any thing on tech stream coming from the car while its running.

I think I need some help here.
    Thanks

Try uninstalling version 8 and download a version 7.xx.xxx of TechStream software.

    Hi boppo,

You need to edit the IT3System.ini in Program Files\Toyota Diagnostics\Techstream\Env

    Change TISFunction=1 to 0

Do make sure you select your interface in Setup -> VIM Select.

TS requires SAE J2534 compliance devices and ELM327 is not.

Nailed told me to reinstall tech stream and that fixed all my problem. Now in the morning I will plug it in the car and see if it works in the car.

    Hi Vincent,

Do you know of any devices that are suitable?
