I'm looking to replace my 2004 Toyota Prius hybrid battery and I found this guy, Brad, who says he'll replace it for $850 as opposed to the Toyota dealerships $3,300. Has anyone heard of Minnesota hybrid batteries llc or Brad lindburg of Minneapolis, MN?

If you can verify this is the same Brad who is a regular contributor here under the user name @strawbrad , proceed with full confidence. He is a battery wizard and gives hugely of himself around here. I've never seen him plug his business so I can't even confirm it's him, but I'm betting it is.

Yeah that's the name he uses. I'm wary because I can't find reviews of his business. I would love to be his customer if he's legit!

    Yep, That's me.

Just to be clear. The dealer wants $3300 for a new battery. My $850 is for a rebuilt battery with a 18 month warranty.

brad (above) is extremely knowledgeable, and you can find his regular contributions by clicking on his user name.
you would be wise to learn as much as possible about the process and expected results of a rebuilt battery, and see how it fits your future requirements before making a decision.
he can give you a rundown of all the potential outcomes. all the best!(y)

    Brad,
What do you think of the battery conditioners?
    Do they work?
Are they worth $500 or should we just wait for our batteries to fail?

I have and he is wonderful! Replaced my battery for $850, same day! I was thrilled to be able to keep my 2007 Prius for 1/4 of the cost Toyota was quoting. I highly recommend Brad!

This is a great business. They, Brad Lindberg, offer amazing support above and beyond you battery issue. I had a Prius doorstop in my driveway last summer, and MN Hybrid came to Hibbing with spouse and dog en route to do some hiking and really truly swapped out my hybrid battery right in the driveway. When the old thing died at -40 this winter he walked me through getting it checked/fixed by the local shade tree mechanic. He was clear that if it was the battery rather than the engine, he'd come up again and replace. All this just happened. I'm pretty impressed. Good outfit.
