I noticed something recently, on the coolant recovery hose, on one side of the fitting there is a hose clamp, and on the other passengeramp side of the fitting, there is no hose clamp.

Me too. There's another location like that, maybe partially hidden by the cosmetic engine cover?

There was a thread about this a few years back, so I put small airline clamps on the two locations. And then, I read how airplane clamps can cause uneven pressure, possible crack the spigots under the hose, so I took them off. No problems.

Yes, it does seem odd. They must be depending on tight fit, ribbing on nipples of the Y-fitting, and perhaps adhesive to keep the hose from blowing off. I added a screw-type hose clamp there, not too tight.

Something was said in the old thread, about the hose and the plastic piece having a single part number.
