    Yeah finding a 2016 engine in the United States with low enough mileage to be worthwhile they're all going to cost you two grand so for that I go to the JDM guys because their engines are going to be half the mileage generally I go ahead and get a transmission while I'm at it so both pieces going into my $300,000 mi car have 80,000 on them or what have you I don't work on open deck design engines that's like throwing money away they're weak already you can't restrengthen them it's the way the stuff is assembled by bolts and not cast oh well

    Wow I guess I never realized! I have to imagine those bores move around a little bit which makes the head gasket that much more likely to fail. Crazy.

    I don’t have a source yet for JDM Engines, which is ridiculous, because I buy many cars per year in Japan, but my contact over there doesn’t do parts
