    That's for when it's 2 of us & we need a quick nap at a festival. If it's just me, I put the back seats down & sleep in the trunk. I love taking random naps in the car on long trips. :)

    In reference to the "camper" prius,a trailer hitch would look alot better, more practical, and better mpg....just sayin...

    I car camped in my Prius this winter in Banff for about 6 nights. Not quite as much headroom as my Civic wagon but enough. Using a 4" quality foam pad with a fitted sheet cover that rolls up and gets stashed out of the way. This was a major criteria when I was first looking at the 2nd gen Prius, and the reason I never looked at the 1st gen. I asked the salesman, can I check the back to see if there's enough room to lay down? He said yes and I did, from then on I was sold.
