My 2010 just developed this MOUSE MICE infestation problem with the onset of cold weather. Have caught three (3) mice inside the passenger compartment, with traps, in the last two (2) days. Is there a Fix from Toyota yet??? Is there a Service Bulletin???
The car is kept in an unheated garage.

they like the coating on the wiring, and the stray juice running through them. it's also very cozy. many cars suffer this problem to some extent. hard to know if prius is more attractive.
my father leaves bait in his garage while in florida, and the hood up, battery neg disconnected on his chrysler, ever since his girlfriends caddy wire got chewed to pieces.

squirrels ate my cable wire, according to the cable guy. you should see the shielded stuff they use, only after an incident like that. it's 3/4" diameter.

Mouse elimination works. Use the green blocks and put them throughout the garage, especially where you might see droppings. Outside also if you do not have small pets or chilren with access. Avoid using in attics where they might die and can not be removed. This is what exterminators do, place without the catch boxes if possible.

True. Satellite TV rg6 cables with power to the dish also get chewed until they eventually fail.

I've seen minor mice damage in both of my cars - Prius and a VW- mostly they get into the air filters. To put it in perspective, recent headline said most utility power failures are from squirrels eating the wires (although the most damage is storms). Rodents are a big pain, in my yard I can barely grow anything even grass without a deer, rat, mice, chipmunk, ground hog, mole, gopher, fox, rabbit, or raccoon destroying it. I got all of those in abundance. In our local news, beavers wiping out trees in a nearby neighborhood.

Does seem we humans as design engineers fail to comprehend the magnitude of the rodent issue.
