Yea, like if/when an initial vendor contact is made to get an idea of what price breaks occur at what quantitles, so we can see if/when a group order might be placed...

I guess I'm off the group buy. I'm changing my tires/wheels over next weekend and that's the best time to put these things on so I ordered from Steve at Eastway Toyota in Windsor Ont. Neat guy to talk to.

Might be a little off topic, but I believe the mud/splash guards are paintable. Does anybody know the correct way to do this? I sure would like my guards to match the body color.

Just did the mudflap installation. Under a couple of hours and I was not
working straight through. Pretty straight forward instructions.
It did require pulling the back wheels, but not the front.
And drilling was not as bad as I agonized over before doing it.
SeaSalsa - thanks for the tips.
Looks like they have always been there.

Next decision: Hood deflector or front end mask?

Has anyone installed (or has read directions about installing) the Side Window Visors?
Could you let us know what is involved?
    Thanks!

Way more expensive than the Canadian mud guards that come in sets of 4 and sell for $50canadian from what's been posted (+shipping). Anyone know if they're the same?

Just ordered my splash guards and window visors from Steve Christie at Eastway Toyota in Canada. He said he received 11 e-mail orders for splash guards from the "States" today. Looks like the group buy might be getting smaller.

I asked him about visor installation. He said make sure the surface is clean. Then peel back the adhesive liner about 1/2" on the two ends of the visor and lightly place them on the window . Check the alignment. Then remove the rest of the liner and press firmly. Sounds easy...

He also said his dealership has received only 1 Prius so far!
I didn't ask how long their waiting list was.

I am currently awaiting them to contact me again - I sent them an email last week with a proposal to do a Group Buy but they haven't responded. In order to achieve the greatest success with the Group Buy (ie lowest price), I'd ask that anyone who is going to order hold off until the end of the week so that we can try to get a deal ironed out.

My mom bought some like that for her Tacoma, and it was fairly easy to put them on. They did come with alcohol swabs to clean the surface, though. Two people made the alignment easier.

As long as they fit nicely, they sound like a good upgrade, but the mud flaps come first...

Great News - I received a voicemail this morning from Don Jacobs Toyota and it looks like we'll have an arrangement worked out by the end of the day to get this group buy going. I hope to have a chance to call them back soon.

I put up a few photos of my Black Prius with the Canadian mudflaps into the Modifications photos.

The shining black mudflaps on the shining black car with the shining black tires don't show up so well. I may have to take some more photos on a cloudy day.
