    Hi all,

Are a there any differences between mudguards in between different continents ?

I'm looking for a set, can be s/hand, if you have one not needed let me know, I will pay the price + postage to Ireland.

If you have wind deflectors which are not needed, let me know too.

    Best,

    Agape.

I think there would be a difference. With the US version you would have to put the ones that go on the "right" side here on the "left" side of your Prius since you drive on the wrong side of the road in Ireland. (kidding). If you buy them in Ireland from the Toyota dealer, what is the part number for them? Most likely they would be the same as the part number here in the US.

Ignore the part number bit. I don't won't to deal with dealers in Ireland, they are just pain to deal with... if you don't want to buy a car or pay for a service with a bunch of parts added, then you are seen as an enemy.

I heard that something about such parts being more bulky in Europe and more slim fit in US... this is something I'm curious about.

Are you talking about mudguards (wings) or mud flaps? The US mudguards are the same fitting but do not have the holes in for the indicator repeater. I believe all EU Prius are the same as the UK.

Mudguards, I meant the protection from the mud, snow and sand splashing from the tyres.

Wind deflectors for protection from rain snd to get some fresh air when raining.

TBH I also need transmission fluid, oil filter/washer and some castrol edge professional 0w30 or 5w30

I got my wind deflectors off Ebay from Poland from memory £40 just for fronts, but this was half the price of OEM Toyota. They were a very good fit.
Living out in the countryside I would like some mud flaps front and rear to help protect the car, but have yet to find any made specifically for the Prius other than Toyota. At a price I cannot justify.

We call the bodywork over the front wheels "mudguards or wings" on either side of the Prius by the hybrid badge there is a light that flashes with the indicators. My miss interpretation of your term mud guard.

John, would you have a pic by any chance, did you go for dark or light color of the deflectors?

Thank you for explaining about the meaning of the mud guards/ mudguards wording.. It makes sense.

I went for smoked versions of the deflectors. Pictures below.

Agape, wind deflectors came from Slovakia not Poland. See Ebay item number 200798619631, Price has now dropped to £20.99 + £5.99 delivery. The delivery for me only took 3 days.

Let's see what Tony offers and then I will make the decision.

So far the cost of deflectors from Slovakia seems okay as compared to Toyota or climair ones... I don't really need 4 deflectors, two is fine for my usage.

regarding the mudflaps, mud guards, I came across these:
